Master PRD for Telex

This project involved the creation of a comprehensive Product Requirements Document (PRD) for Telex, a Slack-like app focused on receiving notifications about app events in channels. The PRD outlines the product vision, background, problem statement, goals, user personas, key features, core UX flow, success metrics, and a detailed roadmap for the product's development stages.
As a Product Manager and co-editor of the PRD, I was primarily responsible for developing the roadmap for Telex.
I made use of tools like Google docs and Slack.

Creating MVP issues for Telex

This project focused on defining and creating Minimum Viable Product (MVP) issues for Telex, particularly for the Frontend and Backend developers. The aim was to establish a clear set of tasks that would drive the initial development phase and ensure that the core features were implemented efficiently.
I was part of the team in charge of creating detailed issues for the Notifications feature for the MVP phase.
I did this while using tools like Linear, Google sheets and Slack.

Supervising Product Design for Telex MVP

This project involved supervising the product design of the Telex MVP, with a specific focus on the Events Monitoring screen. The goal was to ensure that the design was intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with the overall product vision.
By supervising the product design, I ensured that the Events Monitoring screen was designed to provide a seamless user experience, contributing to the overall success of the Telex MVP.
I did this using the Design tool, Figma and Slack.

What I've learned

Throughout the course of this internship, I've gained valuable experience in creating comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that clearly outline the vision, goals, and roadmap for our product. I developed a strategic roadmap providing a clear path for product evolution. My role involved managing MVP issues for both frontend and backend developers, which included crafting user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to facilitate a streamlined development process.  Supervising the design of the Events Monitoring screen allowed me to ensure that it met user needs and provided a seamless user experience.

I got to learn this from HNG internship

How I plan to Grow

To continue my growth as a Product Manager, I plan to enhance my data analysis skills and stay updated with the latest trends in product management. I will deepen my user research and usability testing skills to gather valuable insights and focus on leadership development to manage and motivate teams effectively. Expanding my knowledge in related fields like marketing and customer support, and improving my technical proficiency in areas such as API integration and project management tools will further drive product success.
